Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best famous for the roles she played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue l. Ellis, the American actor and producer who has been in the theater and television as well, is active on both sides of the screen. Her acting career began in the theatre. Then she appeared on several television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she get praise from critics for her performance, but she was also awarded and nominations. In 1995 she debuted as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted through her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. On television, her part on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
