
Amanda Louise Holden, born 16 February 1971, is an English actor and media persona. Since 2007 she has served as an official judge of Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. She is also the co-host of the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. Holden was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire. She spent much of her childhood living in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine, she joined the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden also has TV credits, including three shows that she co-starred with Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham on the show Kiss Me Kate, three episodes on ITV's The Grimleys and Celeb With Harry Enfield, and a special Agatha Christie episode "4.50 from Paddington" to celebrate Boxing Day. Co-starring with Bill Nighy (and Tom Courtenay) in Ready When You Are Mr. McGill, Jack Rosenthal's comedy drama. Alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge in Britain's Got Talent. She was the judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 to 2006.
